Spencer Ghobadian

SPENCER GHOBADIAN | JUNIOR DESIGNER

Born and raised in San Francisco, Spencer’s perspective and passion for design were profoundly shaped by the city’s unique architectural landscape. He pursued a five-year pre-professional degree at Syracuse University’s Architecture program, where he honed his skills in formal design and contextual response, while expanding his understanding of architectural principles.

Interning at jmA the year prior was a transformative experience for Spencer, allowing him to see the refined application of design principles in practice. The studio’s emphasis on creating “architecturally quiet frameworks” to observe the physical world in new ways resonated strongly with both his education and personal aspirations in architecture. This exposure motivated him to return to San Francisco, where he aims to contribute to the city’s growth and development, with the goal of becoming a licensed architect.

Outside the office, Spencer enjoys exploring the variety of cuisines San Francisco has to offer and is always excited to discover new restaurants.
